About our Pastor

BELINDA HOOD serves as Senior Pastor of Love In Action Ministries, Inc., located at 5739 W. North Avenue, Chicago. IL. 60639, where she has oversight of the Ministries· spiritual. administrative and social services. She is also Healthcare Consultant and has many years of Clinical and Administrative service· serving on a Professional Advisory Board. She holds a Bachelors Degree in Business Administration/Management and a Masters Degree in Theology. She is a member of the American Association of Christian Counselors, and Black African American Christian Counselors and sees the need for biblical direction and guidance in the “marketplace”,

She is also President of Abiding Women of Faith Ministries in Bolingbrook, IL· a Women’s Prayer and Support Group – where she resides with her husband Gregory. She is a member of the Bolingbrook Christian Clergy Association. She has 4 sons, (a “bonus” son), 4 precious “daughters” and (9) grandchildren.

Belinda has served in various capacities of ministry in the local church and community at large. She loves “fellowship·’ within the Body of Christ and believes that it is essential for the strengthening, developing, training and edifying of the believers faith in Jesus Christ, and “witness”’ to the world.

She is a published author of the book, “P.O.W.E.R”  which is a biblically based study guide to empower, encourage, enrich, enlighten and edify the Body of Christ; and to educate non-believers! She also published a book entitled, "What shall I cry?" This published work was birthed out of a "burden" for revival in the land with special emphasis on the revitalization of the Church of Jesus Christ.

Her desire is to see lives transformed by the POWER of the Holy Spirit. As an Evangelist, her heart’s desire is to take the Gospel to all parts of the world! She is committed to empower, enrich, exhort and encourage families -bringing them into the family of God; thus building God’s Kingdom! Her stance is
