This ministry is led by Myron & Marshelle Hood. The year 2009 was the birth of Divine Matrimony Ministries, Inc. With the charge from God and the blessing of our mother, mentor and pastor, Belinda Hood, this ministry has now come forth! We are so excited about what God is going to do. Divine Matrimony Ministries recognizes marriage as: the legal union of a Man and a Woman in order to live together and often have children. According to Hebrews 13:4, "Marriage is honorable in all and the bed undefiled: but whoremongers and adulterers God will judge." So many are just living together, "playing house," and this is against the will of God. Divine Matrimony believes that a Godly marriage should reflect the relationship of Jesus Christ and the church according to Ephesians 5.
"The purpose, mission, and goal of this ministry is to provide guidance, support, and encouragement to engaged (those who have set a date) and married couples. We meet together on a quarterly basis to have Biblical teachings, interactive group discussion, role playing, games, and prayer. This ministry focuses on topics that are important in marriage: Godly Roles of the Husband/Wife, Communication, Finances and Sexual Intimacy."
We are committed to God first and then to each other. Our marriage is a transparent testimony of how God is a deliverer, healer and restorer!! We have learned and are continuing to learn that Marriage is WORK!
